Dairy farmers set to adopt hi-tech solutions

Breeders of milch cows must adopt new measures to reduce production costs if they want to raise their incomes, a HCM City official has said. Speaking at a seminar last week, Nguyen Phuoc Trung, deputy director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, urged farmers to use advanced milking and harvesting equipment and enrol in training courses to improve their skills.

Japan to transfer rice technology

Japan will transfer its most advanced technology to help develop new rice varieties in the midland and mountainous areas of northern Viet Nam. An agreement for the technical co-operation project was signed yesterday by Chief Representative of Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA) in Viet Nam Tsuno Motonori and Rector of Ha Noi University of Agriculture Tran Duc Vien.
